To the dark, we awoke—
in an antelope stride. With a blueberry muffin and a
Colt 45.

Earth turned, coiled—
like a thing that would slither. But, to see it constrict you
really pumps out my glitter.

And I never thought spring—
could hang on to July, so when you leave, leave your shape
in the size of my room.
